Perth families mourn death of loved loves in Bali - The West Australian

Two Perth families are grieving after losing loved ones in tragic circumstances in Bali.

One man drowned, while the family of the other believe he was poisoned.

Bayswater father-of-two Chris Taylor, 34, was on a family holiday in Legian when his partner Ebony woke up on Thursday night to find him dead in their bed.

She tried to revive him and called for help. He was rushed to hospital but was declared dead.

The family believe Mr Taylor was a victim of alcohol poisoning but have declined an autopsy or toxicology examination.

Chris’ mum Merle took to Facebook saying he was “such a beautiful man, son, brother, dad (and) friend”.

Meanwhile, 69-year-old grandfather Ashok Joshi, from eastern Perth suburb The Vines, drowned while swimming with his grandson at the popular Double Six beach in Seminyak.

His family think he was caught in a rip. Mr Joshi was pulled from the water unconscious by his daughter and son who performed CPR but could not revive him.

“Life will never be the same without our busband, dad, grandfather and friend. He was a truly one-of-a-kind man who lived for his family,” read a statement from Mr Joshi’s family.
