A woman has died from assault-related injuries at a rural property in Victoria.
Police and paramedics arrived at the home on Lavenders Lane in Kyneton at about 4pm yesterday after receiving reports a woman had been assaulted.
On arrival authorities found the woman suffering from assault-related injuries.
Paramedics worked on the woman but were unable to revive her. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
Homicide detectives are speaking with a 44-year-old man about the woman’s death, but he has yet to be formally interviewed.
No charges have been laid.
A homicide detective told 9NEWS officer could remain at the property, about 95km northwest of Melbourne, for some hours.
