Maccas run turns ugly after man pulls gun on waiting customer

A late-night McDonald's run took a terrifying turn in Melbourne's south-east overnight after a woman was threatened with a gun while waiting for her food.

The woman and a female friend were parked in the waiting bay of the McDonald's restaurant on the corner of Springvale Road and Heatherton Road in Springvale just after midnight on Friday when another car collided with theirs.

Police said when the woman got out of her car after the minor crash she had a "verbal altercation" with the two men in the other car. One of the men drew a gun and threatened the woman before they drove off.

The woman and her friend were shaken up but not hurt.

Police are still searching for the men who were driving a silver sedan with a trailer and are described as being of Asian appearance and aged in their 20s or 30s.

Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
