Boy, 10, and father shot in Queensland home invasion

A 10-year-old boy has been shot during an attempted armed robbery at a home in Queensland's south.

Two men, one armed with a gun and another with a machete, entered a Brown Plains home, south of Brisbane, on Tuesday just before 8pm and an argument broke out.

Manhunt after 10-year-old boy shot

A 10-year-old boy and is father have been shot during a home invasion at Browns Plains, south of Brisbane. Vision courtesy Seven News.

During the fight the boy suffered a gunshot wound to the shoulder while a 31-year-old-man was shot in the stomach. Both are non-life-threatening injuries.

Both were taken to hospital. The injuries were not life threatening.

A police dog was also injured by another dog, as was the dog handler, while police were tracing the offenders.
