Police are searching for a gunman after a teenager was shot in the chest and left to die on a road in Sydney's south-west on Saturday night.
Police and paramedics were called to Cabramatta Avenue in Miller near Liverpool just after 11pm following reports of a shooting.
They found an 18-year-old male on the road with a gunshot wound to his chest.
Paramedics attempted to revive the teenager, but he died at the scene.
He has not been formally identified. NSW Police initially reported the victim was 16 years old.
Police officers are canvassing the neighbourhood and chasing several leads. No arrests have been made.
Police have established a crime scene and have urged anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
