Police have confirmed they have located the body of a man in a fire-ravaged home in a small town near Moruya on the NSW South Coast.
Earlier today officers from South Coast Police District found human remains after the Badja Forest Road fire impacted the area on Thursday.
The body has not yet been formally identified.
That fire, which was at "emergency warning" level for most of Thursday, was nearly 300,000 hectares in size.
Police say inquiries are continuing and no further information is available at this time.
The discovery marks the 25th person lost in NSW since the start of the fire season.
On Thursday, flight engineer Rick DeMorgan, captain Ian McBeth and first officer Paul Hudson died as their Lockheed C-130 Hercules aircraft crashed fighting an out-of-control blaze in the Snowy Monaro region.
