A toddler has died after he was struck by a carin the driveway of his home in Victoria’s Goulburn Valley region.
The one-year-old was hit by a Ford Falcon ute outside a home on Peter Avenue in Tatura, 167km north of Melbourne and 18km west of Shepparton, about 6pm last night.
Paramedics and police tried to save the boy but he died at the scene.
The 29-year-old male driver, from Tatura, was not injured.
The incident is being treated as an accident and police will prepare a report for the coroner.
The boy’s death comes after a 17-month-old girl was killed when she was hit by a 4WD at a caravan park in Lake Conjola, on the South Coast of New South Wales, on Saturday afternoon.
