Redbank Plains: Driver fires shot into family car after road rage argument

A shot has been fired into a car, narrowly avoiding two children, after a father confronted a dangerous driver west of Brisbane yesterday afternoon.

The 46-year-old had pulled over on Hently Drive in Redbank Plains to confront the driver of a red SUV out of concern for children in the area.

He was then ambushed while pulling up to his home nearby with his three children still inside the car.

The driver pointed a gun out the window and fired a shot that pierced a tyre, narrowly missing two of the children, aged 11 and 12.

The man, who does not want to be named, told 9NEWS his daughter was terrified, believing her father would be shot.

“The bang more than anything really just shuddered through us,” he said.

“It was probably a bad call.
