Police seek man after incident in Burswood

POLICE are seeking a 45-year-old man after a major police operation in Burswood tonight.

Officers want to locate Shayne Andrew Taylor who they believe can assist them in relation to a disturbance in Burswood around 5pm today.

He was last seen in the vicinity of Claude Street.

Mr Taylor is described as 45 years of age, approximately 165cm tall, with a medium build, brown eyes and greying hair. He was last seen wearing ¾ length dark pants, dark coloured Nike runners and possibly wearing a white top.

Any members of the public who see Mr Taylor are advised not to approach him, but call police immediately on 131 444.

Tonight’s incident began when police and firefighters were called to a disturbance involving a group of people at an address on Claude Street about 5pm.

The group left the premises, where a smell of gas was reported.

St John Ambulance officers treated a number of people at the scene and two were taken to hospital as a precaution.

Blasta Brewing Company posted a message on Facebook advising customers the building had been evacuated and was likely to remain closed for the evening.

Road blocks are in place and drivers are advised to avoid the area.
