Four men in Halloween masks break in to Belmore home, hold family at gunpoint

Four men dressed in monster Halloween masks broke into a home in Sydney's south west on Tuesday night, holding the family inside the house at gun point.

The incident took place on Oxford Street, Belmore just after 10.00pm.

One of the masked intruders was armed with a metal pole and another with what appeared to be a firearm.

A man, woman and two teenage girls were tied up while the intruders ransacked the home.

Following the incident, the family were able to untie themselves and call police.

Due to the masks they were unable to give an accurate description of the intruders.

A crime scene has been established and police investigations are continuing.
