Bourke Street ramming accused charged after allegedly driving at police car in Melbourne's CBD

A man who allegedly rammed a police car in Melbourne's Bourke Street before being tasered by officers has been charged with conduct endangering life.

It happened shortly after 5:00pm on Tuesday, when police responded to reports of an unconscious man in a parked car with a smashed windscreen.

Police said when officers approached the man, he drove at them and rammed their car.

The officers tasered the man, who was arrested and taken to hospital for assessment.

No-one else was injured.

Two guns were found inside the car, police said.

The 26-year-old, of no fixed address, has been remanded to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates' Court later today.
