AUTHORITIES are desperate to identify a man who was admitted to a Melbourne hospital weeks ago but hasn’t told anyone who he is.
The man arrived at the hospital without identification or a wallet and hospital staff have been unable to communicate with him or determine his identity, according to Victoria Police.
“[Medical professionals say] they would like to establish his medical history to ensure he receives appropriate care,” a police statement read.
Police today issued a public appeal for information and released a photograph of the unidentified man in hope that someone will recognise him and come forward.
The man has grey hair, blue eyes and a full beard, and is of average height.
Anyone who has information regarding the identity of the man pictured is urged to contact Southbank Police Station on 038635 0900 or the police assistance line on 13 14 44.
