A man has been found stabbed to death at his home in Heidelberg Heights in Melbourne's north overnight.
Emergency services were called to a property in Southern Road about 12.50am, where the man was found with serious stab wounds.
The victim, who is yet to be formally identified, was treated by paramedics but died at the scene.
A man aged 48 who was at the home was arrested and is now assisting police with their enquiries.
It is believed the men were known to each other.
Police are yet to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the death and the investigation is ongoing.
