Jalen Hurts is successful because he’s humble, self-aware, and takes every day with a grain of salt.

The Eagles starting quarterback never gets too high or low and he’s become a media sensation for his witty quotes and one-liners.

During his Wednesday zoom meeting with the media, Hurts again harped on avoiding distractions and the outside noise.

When the Eagles star rookie was asked how he directly deals with the media, fans, and negative or positive distractions, Hurts responded in the video from Tim McManus, by saying, “I always try to stay away from the rat poison.”

For Hurts, it’s a clear message that he’s not reading his press clippings or worried about doubters who believe the magic will suddenly dissipate.

Hurts has opened up the Eagles offense over the past two games and his even-keeled approach to Philadelphia’s quarterback saga could be a huge reason why guys seem to rally around the rookie signal-caller.
