Kangra, June 25
A 21-year old man, a resident of Dehrian, died today at Tanda medical college after consumption of some poisonous substance, the police said here today.
Sunil Rana, Sub Divisional Police Officer, Kangra, said Sandeep Kumar, who was suffering from depression, had consumed poison by mistake at his home today and was rushed to Tanda medical college, where he died during the treatment.
He said Sandeep could not depose before the police. The victim’s body was handed over to his relatives after postmortem. The police have registered a case under Section 174 of the CrPc and the investigation was underway.
The SDPO said one more case of poisoning was reported in Tanda medical college. Rana said Sunil Kumar, a resident of Nagrota Bagwan, was admitted to the medical college, and was not in a position to depose. He was under treatment. The police was investigating the case, he said.
